14th Session CRPD Committee: II’s member briefing on Kenya

On 18 August 2015, the second day of the current session, Fatma Wangare from the Kenyan Association of Intellectual Handicapped (KAIH) , briefed the committee members during the “Briefing of DPOs” for Kenya, as an active member of Kenyan DPO delegation. Fatma talked about universal health care, social protection, and employment as well as responded to questions regarding access to justice, women and girls with disabilities, and legal capacity. The Committee finished the dialogue with the Kenyan official delegation on 19 August and will adopt the Concluding Observations.
